POST CONSUMER WASTE MANAGEMENT

Responsible Waste After Sales & Distribution

Textile Recovery Facility

A practice-led research hub focused on developing scalable solutions for domestic post-consumer textile waste in India.
At TRF, post consumer textile waste are collected, carefully sorted, and then directed toward different recovery pathways. Materials are recycled, upcycled into new products, or circulated through thrift, extending their life and reducing waste.

Everyday materiality experience center

From exploring the possibilities of recycling multi layer packaging to the non recyclable ones. We realised the alternative potential in these materials by repurposing them into a range of materials which can serve as everyday products or the future of couture.

Material Library of India, exploring textile industry waste

This fabric is made from textile industry waste that would usually be burnt by factories in India. Drawing on the country’s long history of informal waste recycling, waste is collected, cleaned, sorted and rewoven into new valuable material. It is part of a larger project called The Material.
Material Anatomies, 2025

Material Anatomies, 2025

Material Anatomies, focuses on textiles as our “second skin.” In this installation anatomies of four different products have been developed, along with an additional central piece. The anatomies explore the contrasting vocabularies of traditional garment construction and upcycling practices while the central label highlights the true cost of the materials we use, inviting reflection on their hidden impact.Through this, visitors engage with and better understand the complexities and material implications of this popular category of everyday wear.

This installation presents activewear for both men and women, prompting a critical question: Do we really know what is it made of ? The fabrics that sit closest to our skin carry far greater implications than we might realize; environmentally, ethically, and socially. This exhibit invites viewers to look beyond the surface and read between the lines , exploring hidden narratives woven into what we wear.

Price<less Plastic

Price<less Plastic

Price<less Plastic is an initiative focused on reducing plastic waste within our surrounding communities. Through this effort, we collect plastic waste from nearby areas, carefully segregate it based on type, and ensure it is sent to authorized recycling facilities. The initiative aims to create awareness about responsible waste management while ensuring that plastic is diverted from landfills and reintroduced into the recycling cycle.
